DISCLAIMER TO BE READ BEFORE THE CRUISING DESTINATION ARTICLES

The following Cruising Destination articles are intended as in incentive for competent yachtsmen to visit these areas, and as such they should be treated as a guide only. If intending to visit these areas, you should also refer to specific sources of navigational information such as Admiralty Charts, the Australian Pilot, Notices to Mariners and coastal Cruising Guides.

Significant effort has been made to be accurate when compiling these articles, however, no warranty is given that they are free of errors or omissions. The author and other members of the Darwin Sailing Club involved in publishing these articles disclaim any liability for any consequences of any such errors or omissions. The air photos and chartlets are believed to be accurate at the time of research and writing between 2002 and 2008; but sandbars do move, and coastlines do change as a result of normal erosion processes.

The articles may be updated from time to time to reflect recent changes, however, it is each skipper’s responsibility to navigate in a safe manner and to take actions appropriate to the local conditions including tidal range, currents and the existing and forecast weather conditions.
